MEGABITE Orchardgrass
Forage variety
Megabite was developed as OG-1 Orchardgrass at Iowa
State University and further selected to create the Megabite
variety (OG-1A). Megabite performed well in forage trials in
Kentucky and is a proven high yielder and palatable cultivar. It
is a medium maturing variety selected for its improved stripe rust
and leaf scald resistance.
Megabite Produces a uniform stand with good forage and
green chop quality, as well as for hay. It is ideal for use in
both large and mini-pastures and mixes well with Red clovers.
