Northern Plains Native Grass Mixture #2900
Native grass mix for Northern Plains area of US. This mixture was
developed and blended for use for Rangeland, Ornamental and Ecological purposes
(Wildlife, etc.) rather than for fast stabilization of soils. Native grasses usually take more than one
season to properly establish.
Usage Area:
For Northern Plains Area of US (see map)
Height: 24-40 inches
Recommended Planting Rate:
10 lbs alone / 5 lbs with wildflowers per acre.
Mixture Varieties Included:
Contains Sheep Fescue, Slender Wheatgrass, Green Needlegrass, Blue Grama,
Little Bluestem, Indian Ricegrass, Sandberg Bluegrass, Prairie Junegrass and
Needle-and-Thread.
These mixtures can also be mixed with Regional
Wildflower Mixtures
to provide a blend of grasses and wildflowers for a true meadow look.
