Shortgrass Native Grass Mixture #2642

Native grass mix for Shortgrass growing area of Central US (see map). This mixture was developed and blended for use for Rangeland, Ornamental and Ecological purposes (Wildlife, etc.) rather than for fast stabilization of soils. Native grasses usually take more than one season to properly establish.

For Central States / shortgrass area of US (see map)
For elevations below 6,000 ft. - Best for upland or drier soils.
Height: 12-36 inches

Recommended Planting Rate / Acre:
6 lbs alone / 3 lbs with wildflowers.

Mixture Varieties Included:
Contains Blue Grama, Sideoats Grama, Sand Dropseed, and Prairie Junegrass.

These mixtures can also be mixed with Regional Wildflower Mixtures to provide a blend of grasses and wildflowers for a true meadow look.
