Southern Plains Native Grass Mixture #2901
Native grass mix for Southern Plains growing area of US (see map) including
central Texas. This mixture was developed and blended for use for
Rangeland, Ornamental and Ecological purposes (Wildlife, etc.) rather than for
fast stabilization of soils.
Native grasses usually take more than one season to properly establish.
Usage Area:
For Southern Plains area of US (see map) including central
Texas.
Height: 12-36 inches.
Recommended Planting Rate / Acre:
10 lbs alone / 5 lbs with wildflowers.
Mixture Varieties Included:
Contains Blue Grama, Sideoats Grama, Buffalo Grass, Plains Bristlegrass,
Little Bluestem, Prairie Junegrass and Sand Dropseed.
These mixtures can also be mixed with Regional
Wildflower Mixtures
to provide a blend of grasses and wildflowers for a true meadow look.
